Processor Latest Use Suction and Gust

>> Monday, October 12, 2009

A new processor technology has developed unique. Instead of using electricity, this processor works with the principle of suction and blowing wind.

Processors were developed by two researchers, Minsoung Rhee and Mark Burns, from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. As quoted from New Scientist, the processor that uses the valve and the air tube to work.

Like most computer systems, this processor using the binear system works. Each suction air from the tube will produce a number 0, while the blast that put air back into the tube will produce a 1.

Microprocessor developed by two researchers working at the level of 8-bit, compared with 32-bit processor or 64-bit is now commonly used. 8-bit processor in a commercial product could be seen on the console Nintendo Entertainment System game that bloom in the 1980s.

Although the new work developed at the laboratory level, the researchers examined many potential technological applications of this wind-based processor. One is for devices used in remote areas who do not have electricity.
